On March 23rd, CCGVP, in conjunction with the Walker Buford United PTO, hosted a forum on Empowering Families to Keep our Children Safe from Gun Violence. We felt that the forum was a success. Here is a news report of that event. We have more projects in the works. Stay tuned….

CCGVP GRIEVES
The Charlottesville Coalition for Gun Violence Prevention grieves with other Charlottesvillians and with the UVA community in this latest gun violence atrocity. We pray for you and your families, and we vow to continue doing what we can to stop the senseless loss of lives.

Sad Statistics

An estimated 4.6 million children in the U.S. live in households with at least one loaded, unlocked firearm. A recent study found that about one in three gun owners store their weapons loaded and unlocked. What to do?
- MAKE SURE YOUR GUN IS UNLOADED
- LOCK YOUR GUN
- STORE IT IN A SAFE PLACE AWAY FROM CURIOUS CHILDREN
- STORE AMMUNITION SEPARATELY. For more information go to https://www.aap.org/en/advocacy/gun-violence-prevention/
